    What jamb size do I need?

    When placing an order for a prehung door, it's important to ensure that you select the correct door jamb size. In most instances, when the wall where you intend to install the door consists of 2x4 wall studs, a 4-inch jamb is typically required. Suitable jamb sizes for 2x4 walls include 4-1/2", 4-5/8", 4-9/16", and 4-3/4". If your door unit is intended for a wall with 2x6 framing, you should expect the jamb size to be 6-1/2", 6-5/8", or 6-9/16", all of which are acceptable sizes.

    If you have an existing door jamb you are replacing, a diagram provided below illustrates which part to measure. If your measurement falls outside the specified numbers above or if you are uncertain about your measurement, we strongly recommend consulting with your installer.

    How should I have the door prepared for a handle and/or a lock set?

    Preparation for Handle and Deadbolt

    This is the most commonly recommended method and is considered a universal preparation that should be compatible with most standard handle and deadbolt sets available on the market. The door will be drilled with a standard 2-3/8" backset and a 2-1/8" diameter hole. The handle and deadbolt holes will be spaced 5-1/2" center to center, designed to accommodate all-in-one units.

    Handle and Deadbolt with Factory Hardware

    Your door will be prepared for a handle and a deadbolt, and you have the option to choose from factory hardware selections that can come pre-prepared and, in many cases, pre-installed.

    No Handle Preparation

    Your door will not be prepared for any hardware, allowing you the flexibility to have it prepared on-site to match the handle and/or lock set style of your choice.

    Handle Only

    The door will be drilled with a standard 2-3/8" backset and a 2-1/8" diameter hole specifically for a handle.

    Deadbolt Only

    The door will be drilled with a standard 2-3/8" backset and a 2-1/8" diameter hole specifically for a deadbolt.

    Multipoint

    *** IMPORTANT *** Before selecting this option, please be aware that procuring your own handleset for this style of preparation can be challenging due to the variety of multipoint locking systems and brands available. We highly recommend speaking with one of our professionals before choosing this option. If you desire the multipoint locking option, we suggest selecting "Multipoint with Factory Hardware."

This authentic and realistic wood grain brings the beauty and warmth of real wood, with the durability and sustainability of fiberglass composite. GlassCraft premium composite doors are not just the best looking fiberglass doors available. They are also the strongest, best built doors! These doors are constructed with full length, full width door stiles built into BOTH long side edges of the door. In addition, these FiberCraft Premium Composite doors use a very heavy and strong top and bottom rail that is 100% recycled composite material. These rails cover the entire width of the door to eliminate any potential for water absorption into the interior of the door.

The wrought-iron Collection of decorative “grille between-the-glass” or GBG doors are unique in their appearance, and feature simulated hand-tooling marks and unique designs. Each decorative grille is finished in antique black, mounted between two pieces of tempered safety glass.
